Abstract

ABSTRACT
There is a strong relationship between the management of marine resources and other human activities at sea with human rights, from the safety and security of navigation, abolition of slavery, eradication of human trafficking, to the protection of fishers rights. Currently, there are contemporary issues related to human rights at sea, namely ocean equity and the development of maritime autonomous surface ship (MASS). This article discusses legal aspects related to ocean equity and MASS within the perspective of the protection and fulfilment of human rights. This article concludes that a shift of paradigm is essential in the implementation of international instruments in the fields of the law of the sea and human rights, taking into account the development of issues related to sustainable development and the advancement of technology.
